Audi Q6 Lease Frequently Asked Questions
Deliveries for the Audi Q^ e-tron started in April 2024. This means that you can lease or buy a brand-new Audi Q6 e-tron now.
The dimensions for the Q7 are 5,072 mm (L) x 1,968 mm (W) x 1,748 mm (H), whereas the dimensions for the Q6 e-tron are 4,771 mm (L) x 1,702 mm (H) x 1939 mm (W).
It was falsely reported in 2022 elsewhere on the internet that the new Q6 was larger than the Q7, however, now that we have got our hands on the new Q6, we can see that these rumours were false.
No, the new Audi Q6 e-tron and Quattro models are both a part of Audi’s PPE (Premium Platform Electric) range. This makes them both fully electric models, which produce zero tailpipe emissions.
Currently, the Q6 e-tron Quattro and the SQ6 e-tron models are available, however, the Q6 e-tron Sportback is slated for a release later in 2024.
Electric cars previously have not had to pay Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), which is sometimes called Road Tax. However, this changed on the 1st of April, 2025.
From the 1st of April 2025, drivers of electric vehicles will need to pay VED for the first time:

- For most EV drivers, this will cost £195 a year. This includes EVs registered between the 1st of April 2017 and the 31st of March 2025.
- New electric cars registered on or after 1 April 2025 will only have to pay the lowest first-year rate of VED, which is £10 a year. After the first year, they will need to pay the standard rate of £195 a year.
- Drivers of new electric vehicles with a list price that exceeds £40,000 will need to pay £620 a year. This is because the Expensive Car Supplement exemption for electric vehicles will end in April, meaning drivers of new EV cars above the threshold will need to pay the supplement of £425 a year for the first five years of the vehicle’s life. This is in addition to road tax, giving an annual total of £620 for the first five years.
- EVs registered between the 1st of March 2001 and the 30th of March 2017 will move from band A to band B and will only need to pay £20 a year.
