Porsche Macan batteries are covered by warranty for 8 years or up to 100,000 miles. However, many EV batteries will last much longer than this. The expectation for battery life is around 20 years. This is roughly the same as many conventional ICEs. Also, we need to remember that the industry is still evolving producing more reliable, cheaper and lighter batteries.
The battery capacity may decrease over time, which will negatively affect the range of the car. However, the performance of the battery outside of the range will generally be the same.
